About
Nottingham Critical Pedagogy is a fluid network of academics, education workers and students co-ordinated by Heather Watkins, Sara Motta, Deirdre Duffy and David Bell in the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham.
We create spaces to discuss the potentials for (and problems with) taking a critical pedagogical approach to higher education in the UK, and actively work to develop critical pedagogical practices within higher education. We are also interested in the practices of critical pedagogy and popular education more broadly.
We have close ties with the Centre for the Study of Social and Global Justice and have receieved funding for the Centre for Integrative Learning.
